08.14.2024 : CLIFF

i have always journeyed to this cliff and looked out

but never really taken the last step

(the only one that really matters, if i’m honest)

always finding safety of the ground below me:

stable footing.

but i know, the lessons are down there.

scary? of course.

there are bodies down there!

what is truly frightening, however:

the souls still with me on this cliff.
